Diving with Dolphins!

We had a group of 7 huge bottlenose dolphins join us on our first dive on Friday. We were down at 18m/60ft at the dive site "Captain's Anchor" when the group came really close to us. One of the dolphins kept circling back to check us out (we must be pretty funny looking underwater)! They stayed with us for a good 5 minutes. What a day!!

Sea Turtle Sightings

Summer is a great season for Sea Turtle sightings!

During the summer months, sea turtles swim ashore to nest on our beautiful beaches.

We do see turtles year round in our waters, but this nesting activity increases our chances of spotting them on shore as well!

Just last week we witnessed leatherback turtles hatching from the South Beach right here in Jolly Harbour. Below is a picture of the eggs after the hatching. We didn't take any flash photography of the actually hatchlings as they use the reflections of the moon to guide them to the ocean.

Turtle watching tours are organized by the EAG (Environmental Awareness Group). Through the summer they run every Friday evening and it promises to be a memorable evening. Help Save Our Coral Reefs

The country of Antigua and Barbuda is unique in the Caribbean because of the diverse coastal environment. However the lack of fisheries management is taking a toll on the fragile marine ecosystems

Please sign this petition and help the Antigua Conservation Society to save our coral reefs and underwater paradise for generations to come.
